Meet the Team

	President, CEO Mark Lay (Landscape Industry Certified Manager) is the President, CEO, and visionary at AA Tex Lawn. He is responsible for managing, growing, and overseeing the business. He is a graduate of Charlotte Catholic High. He holds Landscape Industry Certified Manager (CLP) and Landscape Industry Certified Technician (CLT) credentials, but his most pertinent attribute is that he has been in the business for over 30 years. He has a passion for people and helping co-workers and clients succeed.
	General Manager Cory Lay (Landscape Industry Certified Technician) is the General Manager for AA Tex Lawn. His main responsibilities are overseeing operations, estimating, coaching, and ensuring our crews live up to our high standards. He is also a graduate of Charlotte Catholic High School, but spent 4 years serving our country in the US Navy during Desert Storm and Desert Shield. He holds his Landscape Industry Certified Technician (CLT) credentials. Cory has a passion for the green industry and for helping others.
	Client Services Billy Everhardt's role at AA Tex Lawn is Client Services. He is responsible for providing the communication between the clients and the office. He acts as a liaison to make sure that the clients’ needs are being met by meeting with our clients, proactively addressing any issues through property inspections, and following up on the work that is done. Billy owned his own local lawn maintenance company before coming to AA Tex Lawn and worked for Airborne Express for 17 years as a District Field Services Manager.
	*Residential Client Services* Stephen Raiford is responsible for residential accounts at AA Tex Lawn. He is tasked with estimating lawn care jobs, identifying problems, and communicating with our residential clients. Stephen was born and raised in Charlotte. He studied Turfgrass Management at CPCC. Before coming to AA Tex Lawn he was a Best Application Practice trainer for a competitor. His knowledge of the field is invaluable for our company.
	*Residential Client Services* Joel Sandock is a residential client services manager for AA Tex Lawn. Before joining our company, Joel owned Planters Lawn and Landscape. After Planters merged with AA Tex Lawn, Joel took on the responsibility of managing residential accounts. In addition to estimating, Joel acts as the point of contact to make sure residential client needs are being met. Joel has a Bachelor of Science degree in Forestry from Purdue University. Joel and Stephen work together to offer our residential clients the best possible service.
	Office Manager Lisa Shaffer is the office manager here at AA Tex Lawn. She's responsible for billing, proposals, contracts, accounts payable, fielding questions regarding our accounts, etc. Her biggest responsibility is keeping Mark and Cory on track. Before coming to AA Tex Lawn, Lisa was a QA team manager for Wachovia for 9 years. She managed a team of 21 people in four different locations.
	Production Manager Robert Mullis is the production manager at AA Tex Lawn Company. He oversees our equipment maintenance. Robert brings with him over 28 years of experience as a mechanic. Previously, he ran his own company, Mullis Automotive and Wrecker. His positive attitude and vast experience with all things mechanical have made him a valuable asset for AA Tex Lawn.
	Office Coordinator Lori Austin is the office coordinator at AA Tex Lawn. She is tasked with keeping our tasks and billing organized. She does everything from processing payroll, entering proposals, verifying tasks and timesheets, to answering the phones. Lori attended college at WVU and UNCC. She has a diverse background that ranges from serving 10 years in the Army reserves, to working with autistic children, to most recently working at Wachovia on the Quality Control and Special Projects team.
	Website Administrator / Project Manager Jennifer McKinstry's primary job at AA Tex Lawn is marketing. She is responsible for administering the website, creating the newsletter, managing the databases, and occasional IT work. She also fills in wherever needed with the day to day running of the office. She has a B.S. in Computer Information Systems from the University of West Florida. Previously she was a systems analyst and network administrator.
